Darwin Initiative

The Cayman Islands Postal Service's newest set of stamps, featuring the Islands' biodiversity and titled "Darwin Initiative" was released at all post offices on Wednesday, 9 July.

This issue, a collaboration between the Postal Service and the Department of Environment, introduces some of Cayman's indigenous creatures. There are five stamps in this issue: 20¢ (Land Crab); 25¢ (Needle Case); 75¢ (Little Cayman Green Anole); 80¢ (Cayman Brac Ground Boa), and $1 (White-shouldered Bat). The Soldier Crab will be on the first-day cover and the Caribbean Reef Squid is featured on the souvenir sheet.
