Mail flights resume from Europe

Published 23rd April 2010, 11:58am

Mail from the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and Africa has begun to flow again, as commercial flights resume throughout Europe.

Since Tuesday, 13 April the Cayman Islands Postal Service, along with most postal administrations, had not been receiving mail from or dispatching mail to Europe, as flights were grounded due to the disruption caused by volcanic ash from Iceland.

However, flights began arriving on Wednesday (21 April) and mail service is expected to return to normal.
