Pick up Your Parcels
Published 11th December 2006, 1:12pm
Christmas is less than three weeks away, and parcels are pouring in to the Cayman Islands Postal Service.
Even though people are collecting their packages, the parcel section at the Airport Post Office is overflowing. So customers who have received notification should collect their parcels as soon as possible.
Customers are reminded to bring photo identification with them, or, if they are unable to pick their package themselves, they can send a representative. CIPS will release parcels to an addressee's representative as long as the designated person has the addressee's written permission, including the name of the person who will collect the parcel. A copy of the addressee's ID must be attached to the letter, and the representative will also be asked to show his or her own ID when collecting the parcel.
Remember, post offices are open on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. on Grand Cayman. Please note that Customs is closed at 12 noon on Saturdays. Cayman Brac's Saturday post office hours are 9 to 11.30 a.m. and Little Cayman's are 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
